With Labor Distribution Module, redistribution is possible for what all elements

We are in the process of installing Oracle's new Labor
Distribution Module to use with HRMS for redistribution
of payroll earnings. Because the product is not yet
installed we have very little information about how it
works.
Can anyone who has knowledge of Labor Distribution confirm
or deny something I heard at the OAUG in San Diego when
someone said "...with Labor Distribution you can only
redistribute the seeded earnings elements, Regular Salary
and Regular Wages, etc."
We have a need to set up some of our own earnings elements,
which is not a problem for the payroll side--however, if
these user-created earnings elements cannot be used in
Labor Distribution then this is a big problem for us.
Please let me know if any of you have experience with the LDM
and know the answer to this.
