Problem querying enrollments

Subject: OTA: problem querying enrollments
I am implementing Oracle Training Admin. I have completed the setup
including creating an activity and booking an event and resources. I have
enrolled 2 students into the event. However, I can not retrieve these
records to update the status. I search for the event and then go directly
to the enrollment details window. It is set to automaticlly query the
records for that event. Oracle tells me that there are no records to be
found. I know that I have entered an enrollment, because if I try to enter
the same record, I get an error that this person has been enrolled in this
event. What could be the problem?
Also, are there any API's available for OTA?

1. I was told there are no APIs.
2. There is an OLD patch for the enrollment summary form query fix: I
don't currently have access to the patch number, but call Oracle support and
have them reference my TAR #11731463.600.
Good luck

Employees registering for training themselves AND OTA with OSSWA

Subject: OTA and self service functionality
I am looking at implementing Oracle Training Admin and I have a requirement
to enable employees to be able to research and register themselves for
available training classes. I would like to know if others have this same
requirement and how are they implementing it? Does anyone know if Oracle
provides or is planning to provide OTA functionality in the self-service
module?

We, too, have looked at OTA and even attended a demonstration of the product
a few months ago. During that demo it was stated that most definitely
employees will be able to register themselves in a self-service module -
that's how we would like to use it as well, though we're currently on 10.7sc
and would have to wait until we upgrade to R11 (which we hope to do sometime
next year) before being able to use that functionality. But we could use it
now and have our training department continue to be responsible for
registering employees for classes.
We have not yet made a decision on OTA, as the key decision maker decided to
spend the summer with her family. I anticipate that once she returns we
will resume our evaluation of it.
I would be interested in being kept updated with your experiences as you
evaluate and implement OTA.
Thanks!

Implementing OTA
Subject: [orahrms-l] Any one with experience with OTA success?

We are implementing OTA with HR & PR on NCA and experiencing some
difficulties. Wondering if these are "features" or if we have missed
something in the configuration. We quickly see that OTA's reports are less
than robust, so were looking to be able to view report type items on line.
Specifically, we would select a class on line and view potential attendees.
Those people we've talked to in Oracle Support do not seem to have an
expansive amount of experience - one support person was not aware that OTA
existed - so am turning to those who could have been through a successful
implementation.
If there is someone available on this list, we would like to have a short
conversation with them possibly early next week to discuss our alternatives.

Evaluation of OTA

Hello, all!
We are in the very initial stages of evaluating OTA to see if it will
provide the features that we require of a training system. I would like
to know if there's anyone out there who is currently using OTA or also
evaluating the module. If so, what have your experiences been? What
are the pros and cons you've discovered?
We are currently on 10.7 sc 16.1. Any information you can provide
would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: adding a customer in oracle training and administration
Hi All,
Here at my client site right now we are implementing OTA as a stand alone
and hence doing the necessary conversions. In this process we were trying
to enter a customer from the customer quick entry form which is under
Oraganizations
Customer.
The moment we click on Customer we get a message "Receivables Location
Flexfield has not been installed". If i click ok and continue and try to
enter a address and then save it i get message "APP-45200 read from file
/d01/app/appltst/1103/as/11.0.28/resource/WORDREP.TXT in asclwr. I checked
this directory and it is empty. If i click OK then agin i get the message
"Address Location does not exist". and address doesn't get saved. We have
to
go to production next week and this is holding us back, Any help is
greatly
appreciated . By the way i have also checked for the "Location Information
DFF " and it looks fine.

I got this answer for the same error message, from Oracle's suport:
Try to change the profile option "OSM: Use Customer Key" from Yes (default
value) to No.
