Costs transferred to Oracle's Project Accounting Application

In either Oracle release 10.7SC or release 11.02 is there a standard interface process to transfer manufacturing costs from Oracle Inventory to Oracle Project Accounting without having to use Oracle Project Manufacturing? Currently we're using a custom interface process.

I don't think so. There are standard interfaces that brings cost from purchasing and payables. Usually you bring the manufacturing cost as usages.

Kristie

In Oracle Release 11 there is a standard functionality that enable you to transfer Inventory transactions from Inventory to Projects. You would be using an Oracle predefined transaction source. You don't need to implement Project Manufacturing to get that. Project Manufacturing will further enable you to collect manufacturing costs by project & task and transfer those to Oracle Projects.

Problem resolved.

Legal accounting for leagal entity was not defined. Sub-inventory at this point is not relevant.

Expired lot numbers

From: "Wagner, Brent" Brent_Wagner@StandardAero.ca
Subject: INV: expired lot numbers

I have a user that received something yesterday and entered the 14-jun-99 as the lot expiration date, it should be in fact 14-jun-00. He never realized this until today (lot has now expired). Does anybody know a way of changing an expired lot number. Issuing them off and re-receiving them under a new lot number is not a solution (we need 100% traceability). We're on 10.7 character.

Hi Brent,

In Inventory application, there is a screen for update item lot information, which will allow you to update your Expiration date. In character mode it is Navigate item controls lot and in GUI -Onhand Availability lots. Query the original lot in this screen and update the expiration date with new one.

I hope this will solve your problem
