AP - Inbound Invoices

We are on 10.7 NCA and would like to use the EDI Gateway to import vendor
invoices. I understand this functionality was added in an AP Megapatch set.
We have access to the functionality, but I am looking for documentation on
the data file definition for the inbound invoices. I have the Oracle EDI
Gateway User's Guide (10 SC), but it was published in 1996 before inbound
invoices were supported. I also have the Payables User's Guide Addendum
(10.7) documentation on the Payables Open Interface, but it doesn't have
the data file definition. I have logged a TAR and talked to Documentation
Sales, but to no avail. Is anyone using this?

Hi Ellen,
There is an Oracle Payables Users Guild/ Payables EDI 'CONTROLLED PRODUCTION
DOCUMENTATION'.
This is dated October 1997.
We got this from Oracle, contact yours Oracle Sales Rep. He should be able
to get this for you.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
George.

Thanks George. I have that (actually a later version, July, 1998), but it
doesn't have the data file definition included.

To anyone who can help,
We have Oracle 10.7 character mode apps running both for Oracle OE, Oracle
MFG and Oracle Financial. We would like to use Oracle EDI Gateway to
receive/generate EDI 850/855, 830/870, 856 & 862. Is there any way we can
have a character model access screen to this Oracle EDI Gateway as so far I
only found the EDI Gatway responsibilities available in GUI mode.
Can any one share his experience with us? Thanks.

Joseph,
The only forms developed for the Gateway are GUI. You could set up one PC
with the
10SC client or jump right into the Internet Computing Architecuture and set
up a small applications
server with the R10.7 NCA forms. Oracle allows you to run character and NCA
or
character and SC with the R10.7. When you go to R11, it's all ICA (formerly
known as NCA).
Hope this helps.
I'm the EDI SIG coordinator for the OAUG. Let me know if I can be of more
help

Fredick,
Our Oracle (Oracle Manufacturing and Financial) is running in 10.7 Character
mode. However, we would like to integrate this Oracle 10.7 Character Mode
with Oracle EDI Gateway Rel 11. Is there any possibilities to do this? If
yes, what other software component that we need to consider at Server or
Client side. We don't have SC forms installed in our server side.
