Combos of new Org not appearing

Subject: question on code combinations
Hi all,
We are in 10.7 GUI and trying to set up a new organization. In AP, we
have a situation like this.
We are not able to see the code combinations for the newly created
organization. We set the profile option MO : Operating Unit to the new
one and we are getting the correct set of books in the choose set of
books screen.

Reserved Segment Activation

Subject: GL: Activating Reserved Segment
When we set up our AFF we allowed a final reserved segment, populated with
zeroes. We are now considering using this segment. For those who have had
experience in this scenario:
Any pitfalls to avoid?
Any concerns about making this change mid-year?
Your experiences, thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Kathy,
We set up an extra segment in our AFF 7 years ago, and recently began to use
it without any fanfare or special considerations.
Just make extra sure that you really need to use the spare segment, since
you probable don't have another spare!
