Subject: NCA and Macs
Dear All,
We are endeavoring to support Macs as one of our client machine types using
Apple MJR 2.1and IE4.5.
The Forms Client applet runs fairly well but we have a problem when
attempting to view HTML report output or on-line help i.e. anything which
requires a new browser window to be spawned . My suspicion is that this
maybe something to do with the param name"clientBrowser"
value"iexplore" line in the static html on the web server and/or the Mac
equivalent of "path" on the client.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
We are on 11.0.2 on Solaris 2.6.
TIA

Subject: GEN: Error while running any reports from CM
Hi
We have Oracle Apps 10.7 SC installed on AIX RS6000. When trying to run
any reports from CM, this is what we get
This request finished with an error and produced the following completion
message: APP-01125 Concurrent Manager got error running Oracle Reports for
request 1477035
The processing began on 28-JUN-99 10:17:36 and ended on 28-JUN-99 10:17:37.
You may find more information on the cause of the error in the request log
or the concurrent manager log.
When looked into logs, it says process exited with status 9/14
sometimes.
Thanks for any advice,

Submit Request Set from outside Apps

Subject: Request set submit
Date: Mon, 28 Jun 1999 15:27:56 -0400
hi all,
Does anyone have any experience submitting a request set from outside of the
application?
Here's the situation - we have a lot of interfaces from other systems. We
kick off these interfaces from UNIX via concsub. After everything is done,
we want our reports to run. We have them all built into a set, but cannot
find a way to submit the set. The volume of the reports makes concsub'ing
each one a cumbersome task. And, we don't have default printers on
everything, so we also need to specify a printer from the concsub, which
isn't allowed. We use the same report with parameters for monthly or weekly
runs, so we just can't assign the printers in the program registration.
Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. Right now someone gets a call in
the middle of the night, and manually submits the set.
Customized reports

Subject: Customized reports - Please Help if you can!!!!!
Hi All,
I am having a horrible problem. Last Friday, we upgraded from apps
11.0.28 to 11.0.3 and several bad things have happened. I had a customized
Purchase Order and a customized AP Check. The rdf files for my reports are
still out there, but when I go into the responsibility needed to run each
report, and get to the window where I select which report I want to run,
the porgram that runs the customized report is not in the list of values.
The first thing I did we reregister the executable and define the
program again. Then I reassigned the program to its responsibility group.
Now my problem is that I can see the option to run the report, and I can
run it, and it will say that it completed normally, but the output files
are all blank.
I called Oracle Support and got the biggest runaround all day
yesterday. The first thing I heard was they don't support customized
reports. I knew that. There is nothing wrong with my report. I ran the
Oracle Standard PO and got a completed with error. The log file says it
thinks it is still under version 11.0.28. Oracle Support said it was a
"bug" and that they had a patch, but it will overwrite the current
standard reports with newer versions, and that I will have to recustomize
my custom reports off the new versions for them to work. If this is true,
there is no need in creating custom reports if I will have to change them
every time we upgrade! I have my reports stored in a separate directory so
they will not be overwritten anyway. So, if anyone knows how I can get my
custom reports to print without having to fix them, please let me know.
For now we can't print any PO's at all, as the Oracle standard will not
print on out preprinted PO forms - the fields are all wrong.
Thanks for your help!

Signatures, logs etc on Report 2.5
Date: Mon, 5 Jul 1999 10:40:31 -0300
From: "MacDougall, Mark" mmacdougall@deltaware.com
Hi All!
We are trying to develop for our client an option for printing forms on
reports using REPORTS2.5. We are having difficulty printing reports
which contain shading, logos, signatures, lines and boxes. Signatures is the
most important issue at this time
Following are a list of steps we have performed to date.....
1.) We have a HP4000TN laswerjet printer which is PostScript Compatible and
set to
AUTO personality.
2.) We are using Financials 10.7, Unix Database 7.3.2.3
3.) Our printers are all working properly in Oracle and have been.
4.) We have created a print Driver in the financials with no setup
Strings
5.) We have added the line VERSION=2.0b to the executable options
6.) We get output when the report is run , but all we get is the report
with proper output data but there are 16 stars in the middle of
the report.
We think that the ppd file may be the fix to our problem. We have tried
through HP to get a ppd driver file for UNIX but there are none
available. We have also tried the 2 hp ppd files that are in the ppd
directory, they have failed us also.
Any ideas that you have would be greatly appreciated as we are under
some time constraints.

Special:Copy feature for Custom Report

Subject: Custom Reports
Hi,
We had a couple of custom reports created for us and when we view the
ouput the Special:Copy feature does not work with them. We get error
message FRM-40735:SPECIAL1 trigger raised unhandled exception
NO_DATA_FOUND. The output file is in the proper directory and it can be
opened and copied.
The copy feature does work for all standard Oracle reports.
We are running 11.0.2 on NT.
Thanks,
Catherine

Report Sets going into Pending/Paused mode
Date: Fri, 5 Feb 1999 16:30:55 -0500 (EST)
From: "Khurana, Dinesh" DKhurana@ea.com
Subject: Report Sets going into Pending/Paused mode
We are having intermittent problem with the report sets. It starts running
properly , completes one or two reports successfully and then gets hung
with the status PENDING/PAUSED . Other reports in the report sets keep
waiting. Only workaround for us to run that report set is to terminate and
then resubmit it again. This does not happen always.
We have talked to Oracle Support but they could not be of any help on this
issue .
Any help/ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
